Via Phone Calls   Via Email   Office Visit/Housecall   What can be treated Remotely?

Our doctors answer phones virtually 24 hours a day. If the doctor is not able to immediately answer the phone, you may leave a message with your name and phone number and he will return the call as soon as possible (generally within 30 minutes). Unless there is an emergency, messages will be answered in the order they were recieved.

If you need to get in touch with your doctor immediately, even in the evening or on the weekend, you can just pick up the phone.

If a phone consult is all thats needed, your doctor can order labs or call in prescriptions for you immediately and if an in-person evaluation is necessary, an office visit or house call can generally be arranged for the same day.

In general, e-mails are the most cost effective way to get in touch with your doctor about non-urgent matters. For confidential issues, members can leave us a secure message through this site (NOTE: Temporarily disabled for server repairs, please use: drdappen@doctokr.com)

E-mail messages should give a concise history of the problem and list the concerns that you want addressed. For example, a message requesting that a prescription be refilled should briefly describe problem and the ongoing progress you've made with this medicine. The doctor will review your email and generally will email you to dispense advice or to confirm any requested labs or prescriptions. If your doctor feels that he needs more information or that a brief conversation would be more cost-effective, he will call you at your preferred number unless you request that he reply only by email.

E-mails sent in the evening after regular hours may not be answered until the next day, and you should be aware that incoming phone calls usually take priority over e-mail messages.

Office Visits (and House calls):

If you would like to be seen in person or your problem cannot be handled remotely, we can generally schedule office visits or house calls for the same day. We have extensive hours, and we can generally accommodate even unusual appointment times.

Office visits and house calls are more expensive than other consultation methods (emails, phone calls), so it is frequently more cost effective if you discuss your symptoms or concerns with the doctor via phone before an office visit.

All other standard non-emergency medical services can be handled in our office. For a list of services we do not offer, click here.
